Wesham Club Day 2017 is approaching fast
Plans are well under way for a bigger event this year but we are now putting out a request for help from local businesses……
Our aim is to provide a Fun, Family Day. We are bringing in more things to see, things to do, inflatables, rides and we are providing variety of food and drink options.
In the past local businesses have asked what they can do to help and this year we have come up with a plan. Wouldn’t it be great for the kids to get free face painting, or free balloon models, or listen to free storytelling, or for kids to get prizes from the running-races ? For this we are looking for local businesses to step in and help sponsor part (or all !) of the event.
Its a non-profitmaking event. We have no “budget” but we want to put on the best event possible for the community.
So … if you own a local business, or work for a major multi-national, or anywhere in-between, and would like to support the event then you would have our eternal gratitude
The Club Day Committee
(please share, like and comment to keep this moving around )
Its one of Weshams newest traditions and is a great chance to raise money to support a great cause. Lets get as many people walking as we can in 2016 🙂
Register online or pick up forms from Wesham Co-op.
Registering helps us know how many to plan for on the day 🙂
You can find the event on Facebook:
As for sponsorship – it doesn’t matter if you raise £1 or £100 ! Every penny counts in the battle against Alzheimer’s !
#Alzheimerssociety #wesham #weshammemorywalk #localevents #fylde #makeadifference
The Wesham Memory Walk was launched in 2015, in response to the lack of an officially organised walk in the local area. Memory walks are held around the country in the months of September and October to promote an awareness of dementia and raise much needed funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
The first walk, held on 4 October, was a huge success, raising just under £6000 for the Alzheimer’s Society. More importantly though, the communities of Kirkham and Wesham walked together through the beautiful streets and lanes of our area and supported the event with masses of enthusiasm.
We want to build upon that success this year and make the event even bigger! This year’s walk will be on SUNDAY 18th SEPTEMBER at 13.00 from St Joseph’s in Wesham. The route is a gentle, scenic 5.5km meander, which people can walk, run or jog. We encourage people of all ages, individuals or groups, families and friends (including their dogs) to participate.
To register an interest you can email: weshamMW@hotmail.com
Or message us on the Facebook page: https://facebook.com/WeshamMW/
Please spread the word so that everybody knows what our brilliant community are supporting on that day!!!

Despite the rain Weshamers turned up in their droves to visit Wesham Rec and enjoy the family day – Full summary and Photos to be added shortly
Wesham club day is now only a week away. We are all so proud of how the community has rallied together to keep this tradition alive !
We now have about 30 stalls (a mixture of fundraisers and craft stalls), Music, food, drink (beer, cider, wine), Inflatables, Donkey Rides, face painting, balloon modelling and the AFC Fylde Penalty Shootout Competition……
…. and there is still more being planned ………..
What we need now is for you all to turn up and enjoy it. Flyers should be coming through your doors this weekend (apologies if you hate flyers !) but please pop them in your window, tell your friends, bring your families – we are looking forward to seeing you all there.
You can follow us in more detail on the Facebook Event Page
